Mechanical Inspector

About the Job:

We are hiring for a client based in Dubai, seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector for building construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the installation, functionality, and compliance of mechanical systems within various types of buildings, including residential, commercial, and industrial.

Job Description:

As a Mechanical Inspector, your primary duties will include:

– Conducting thorough inspections of mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection throughout different phases of construction.
– Evaluating mechanical plans and drawings to ensure they meet local, state, and national building codes.
– Verifying that mechanical installations adhere to relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
– Identifying and addressing deviations or violations, and providing detailed reports to contractors, builders, and project managers.
– Collaborating with inspectors, construction personnel, architects, and engineers to resolve issues and ensure overall project compliance.
– Offering guidance on mechanical code requirements and best practices to contractors.
– Communicating inspection results effectively to stakeholders through written reports and verbal discussions.
– Attending project meetings to discuss progress, address concerns, and provide guidance on mechanical compliance.
– Keeping up-to-date with changes in mechanical codes, regulations, and industry best practices, and participating in training sessions or workshops.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.
– Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical inspection.
– Knowledge of local, state, and national mechanical codes and regulations.
– Certification as a Mechanical Inspector is a plus.
– Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
