Position Overview

We are hiring for a client in Abu Dhabi seeking a dedicated Web Administrator. This Web Administrator job in Abu Dhabi is an ideal opportunity for new graduates from an IT educational background who are passionate about e-commerce and website management. As a Web Administrator, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our client’s e-commerce platform, delivering an exceptional user experience, and adhering to industry best practices and security standards.

Responsibilities

• Regularly update and maintain the website’s content, including product listings, descriptions, images, and promotions, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
• Configure, monitor, and maintain web servers to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. This includes server setup, software installation, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect the website against cyber threats, malware, and other security vulnerabilities.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential risks.
• Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans to safeguard website data and ensure quick recovery in case of data loss or system failure.
• Manage domain registration, renewal, and DNS configurations to ensure the website’s domain name resolves correctly and remains accessible to users.
• Provide technical support and assistance to website users, including customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Troubleshoot technical issues, answer inquiries, and provide guidance on website usage and best practices.
• Manage and configure the CMS platform used to create, edit, and publish website content. This includes training users, creating user accounts, and configuring permissions and access levels.
• Implement SEO best practices to improve the website’s visibility and ranking in search engine results. Optimize website content, meta tags, URLs, and other elements to enhance search engine crawlability and indexing.
• Monitor website traffic, user behavior, and performance metrics using web analytics tools. Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, and make recommendations to optimize website performance and user experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience as a Web Administrator, E-commerce Assistant, or a similar role, preferably in the e-commerce industry.
• Familiarity with web server administration, including experience with Linux/Unix, Apache/Nginx, and MySQL/MariaDB.
• Proficiency in website security best practices, including firewalls, encryption, and secure coding standards.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy in all aspects of work.
• Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
