This role involves managing geographical data, creating and updating maps, and integrating GIS (Geographic Information Systems) with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) systems. As a GIS\/CAD Operator, you will ensure that data is accurate, up-to-date, and secure, playing a pivotal role in supporting the company\u2019s marine and geophysical operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Data Management:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Collect, process, and manage geographical data from various sources.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain and update spatial databases, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Map Creation and Updating:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Create, modify, and update maps for various projects using GIS and CAD software.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Convert raw data into meaningful maps and reports for analysis and decision-making.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Integration of GIS with CAD Systems:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Develop and maintain workflows for integrating GIS data with CAD systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work closely with engineering and design teams to ensure seamless data integration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Data Accuracy and Security:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Implement and follow best practices for data accuracy and security.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor and maintain data integrity, ensuring that all GIS\/CAD data is secure and compliant with company standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reporting and Collaboration:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Collaborate with other departments to gather data requirements and provide GIS\/CAD support.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare and present reports on data analysis, map creation, and system integration to management and other stakeholders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cybersecurity Best Practices:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Apply cybersecurity measures in managing GIS\/CAD operations, protecting sensitive information from unauthorized access or breaches.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and practices relevant to GIS\/CAD.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Analytical Skills:<\/strong>\u00a0Strong analytical abilities to process and interpret complex geographical data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Information Management Expertise:<\/strong>\u00a0Proficiency in managing and organizing large datasets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Information Technology Expertise:<\/strong>\u00a0Solid understanding of IT systems and their application in GIS\/CAD operations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Strong Communication Skills:<\/strong>\u00a0Ability to communicate effectively for collaboration, reporting, and presenting data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Knowledge of Cybersecurity:<\/strong>\u00a0Awareness of cybersecurity best practices, particularly in GIS\/CAD environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Software Proficiency:<\/strong>\u00a0Advanced skills in using GIS and CAD software, including but not limited to ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Industry Experience:<\/strong>\u00a0Experience in the marine or geophysical industry is a plus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Educational Background:<\/strong>\u00a0Bachelor\u2019s degree in Geography, Geomatics, Computer Science, or a related field is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why Join Our Client?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our client offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment where you\u2019ll have the opportunity to work on challenging projects that make a real impact.
