Electrical Engineer

The Role:
We are hiring an experienced Electrical Engineer for one of our clients in the building services sector in Dubai. This role involves taking on advanced facilities projects that are vital to the success of our client’s business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and analyzing complex building systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and renewable energy systems. We seek a self-motivated professional with strong communication skills, ready to apply their expertise in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and analyze building systems such as power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, renewable energy, and medium/low-voltage systems.
• Organize and delegate engineering and design tasks to ensure timely completion of construction documents.
• Manage project scope, budget, and schedule to meet project objectives.
• Collaborate with other disciplines in real-time to develop integrated designs.
• Ensure technical accuracy and quality in all electrical design and construction documents.
• Perform site selection, due diligence, and field activities, including construction observation.
• Review construction submittals to ensure alignment with contract and design documents.
• Mentor and guide junior electrical engineers and designers on a project-by-project basis.

General Requirements:

• University Degree in Electrical Engineering (Masters preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Electrical & ELV design for building systems, IT Networks, and Design Calculations.
• Compliance experience with local building/specialty/IEC codes (DEWA/SEWA/FEWA).
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks & Electrical Design Software (Dialux is a plus).
